herrikkane (sprich: Harry Cane), Jahrgang '67

Vor über 30 Jahren habe ich mit der Fotografie begonnen und komme nicht mehr davon los. Dank der Möglichkeiten der digitalen Fotografie habe ich mein Hobby nun immer mehr ausgebaut.

Früher habe ich fast nur s/w gearbeitet, aber mittlerweile kommt zunehmend Farbe ins Spiel. Am liebsten fotografiere ich Menschen in allen Lebenslagen, zum Beispiel beim Sport, finde aber auch andere faszinierende Motive.

Outdoor-Fotografie reizt mich besonders, dies heißt aber nicht, dass ich Studios nicht mag. Im Zweifel bevorzuge ich aber available light, also das vorhandene Licht.

Ich bin ständig auf der Suche nach neuen Motiven, experimentiere gern mit der Kamera und freue mich immer über neue und bekannte Gesichter vor der Linse.

I've been taking pictures since I was 16, when I spent days and nights in the darkroom blowing up black and white pictures without any instruction - just learning by doing. As the years progressed, I noticed the beauty of colour, as well, but never totally gave up on black and white.

Over the past couple of years, I more and more embraced the vast opportunities of digital photography with the computer being the equivalent for the darkroom of my teenage years. 

I very much enjoy taking portraits and doing sports photography. Although I have worked in the studio, I prefer working with ambient light.

I am constantly looking for new photo opportunities and enjoy experimenting with the camera. I am looking forward to photographing new and familiar faces. Check out my photography and enjoy!
